The bcc Berlin Congress Center stands as a landmark for meaningful encounters—where architecture, innovation, and human exchange converge. Located at Alexanderplatz in Berlin, the historic venue combines modern infrastructure with a legacy of cultural significance.
The project was initiated by gewerkdesign to refine the typographic identity of the bcc. Based on the Neurath family, a custom modification was developed to translate key characteristics of the bcc wordmark into a consistent and functional type system.
Starting from the Neurath type family, the design was refined through the integration of defining elements from the bcc wordmark. Characteristic details, including the spurless b and the horizontal terminals of the c, were systematically adapted and expanded—shaping a distinctive yet harmonious extension of the original design.
Developed in four calibrated weights, the typeface establishes a focused and flexible system. Its consistent application across all media—from printed materials to digital interfaces—creates a unified and enduring brand expression.
